Helene Lieser’s 1936 review of Korek-Stark’s Mitteleuropa-Bibliographie, Part 1, assesses a research aid covering literature from 1919–1934. Its central judgment is practical: the bibliography saves burdensome searching for anyone studying Central Europe, not merely librarians. Lieser grounds that praise in its organization:
Die Anordnung des Stoffes ist übersichtlich; nach einem allgemeinen Teil werden die Arbeiten nach Staaten aufgeteilt und innerhalb der Staaten wieder nach ungefähr den gleichen sachlichen Gesichtspunkten.
English translation: The arrangement of the material is clear; after a general section, the works are divided by country and, within each country, again according to approximately the same thematic criteria.
The combination of geographical divisions and recurring subject categories makes a wide field accessible. Yet usefulness does not mean comprehensive coverage:

English translation: The present first part contains only material on the agrarian question, trade policy, and efforts toward integration in Central Europe.
