About this work

Emil Lederer: Intervention on a Late Submission (1920)

In this brief commission intervention, Lederer clarifies the chronology of a submission relative to the completion of a report:

Darf ich dazwischen bemerken, daß wir diese Zuschrift erst bekommen hatten, nachdem wir den Bericht schon fertiggestellt hatten. In den Thesen selbst ist das nicht enthalten.

English translation: May I interject that we received this submission only after we had already completed the report. That is not contained in the theses themselves.

The intervention moves from timing to textual scope: the submission arrived after the report was finished, and its content is absent from the theses. Its significance is procedural, distinguishing material received later from what the commission’s completed documents contain. The turn does not explain the submission’s substance or assess its merits.
