About this work

Emil Lederer: Commission intervention on coal mining (1920)

In this brief commission speaking turn, Lederer distinguishes two financing mechanisms: repayment funded through price increases and full socialization, which converts shares into bonds. His corrective intervention locates their economic difference in how repayment is financed.

In den Preiserhöhungen erblicke ich die inflationistische Wirkung.

English translation: I see the inflationary effect in the price increases.

The contribution thus identifies an inflationary consequence of the proposed financing method, rather than developing a general argument against socialization.
